Last Monday (22), CodeBit attended the official launching ceremony of the Meu Registro platform, held at the headquarters of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) in Brasília. The company is part of the team of technology partners that worked on the development of the system responsible for bringing this initiative to life, considered one of the most relevant digital transformations in the public registries sector in the country.

Representing CodeBit at the event, technology manager Núbia Lopes followed the launch led by the president of the CNJ, Minister Edson Fachin, and by the national inspector of Justice, Minister Mauro Campbell Marques. Her presence was not a debut: Núbia had already participated in the three previous editions of the SERP 360º Workshop, strategic meetings that over the last few months brought together representatives from the National Corregedoria of Justice and National Operators to define the technical and operational directions of the platform.

What is Meu Registro

The meuregistro.org.br platform unifies registry office services across Brazil in a digital environment. Through the platform, any Brazilian citizen can request Civil Registry of Natural Persons, Property Registry, and Registry of Deeds and Documents services, without needing to know which registry office to contact or navigate through different systems. The system itself identifies the correct flow, integrates the information, and forwards the request to the responsible registry offices.

In practice, this means being able to request birth, marriage, and death certificates, conduct search for assets and property registration, and access the National Registry of Guarantees in a nationwide scope, all with online payment and real-time tracking of requests through an integrated protocol.

Technology at the service of citizenship

One of the central pillars of the platform is accessibility. During the ceremony, Minister Campbell Marques highlighted that digital transformation is only complete when accompanied by inclusion and permanent attention to the people who depend on public services the most.* This care was present since the 1st workshop of the system's construction. Topics such as accessibility, usability, and the creation of the National Registry Number (a unique identifier for tracking online and in-person requests) were discussed in depth with the active participation of the CodeBit team.

The company has been participating in the development of SERP for four years. Currently, 19 software professionals from the team led by Núbia Lopes work continuously on the system, building the infrastructure that makes it possible to gather in a single environment services that previously required traveling, multiple systems, and accumulated bureaucracy.

Improvement continues

The day after the launch, on Tuesday (23), Brasília hosted the 4th edition of the SERP 360º Workshop. The meeting brought together representatives of National Operators (ONR, ON-RCPN, and ON-RTDPJ) and members of the National Corregedoria of Justice to continue discussions on the evolution of the system. The agenda covered the alignment of the next implementation stages, the evaluation of improvements already identified, and the definition of the next steps for the continuous refinement of the experience offered to users and registration units across the country.
