ABOUT:

The Union of Entrepreneurs and Freelance Professionals of Insurance Brokerage and Distribution of the State of São Paulo (SINCOR-SP) was founded on October 6, 1934. The aforementioned institution represents and defends insurance brokers, in addition to providing courses, electing and appointing representatives, and arranging partnerships, among other activities.

CHALLENGE:

SINCOR-SP needed to host an institutional website, but there was the challenge of doing so at a low cost, since this is a non-profit organization and has limited resources as one of its main issues.

There was dissatisfaction with the previous hosting provider, because although they offered a good price, there were availability issues, considering that SINCOR needs to offer its services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therefore, it is necessary to be sure that the websites are running all the time.

In search of another provider that would meet their needs, they arrived at AWS. Since CodeBit is an Amazon Web Service partner, Select tier, and serves other institutes and foundations, AWS appointed CodeBit as the partner responsible for the project.

In 2020, there was a need to host a website that offered health insurance to its members. This solution had to be as simple as possible, with extremely low costs. Faced with this issue, Codebit studied the challenge and offered the appropriate solution.

SOLUTION:

It was determined that the solution to host the website at the lowest cost and with the highest possible availability would be the use of S3 for static websites.

Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) is an object storage service that offers industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance.

• Fast content delivery with Amazon CloudFront - CloudFront has 70 data centers, called points of presence, around the world. Your website content is cached at these points of presence, and each visitor is served through the nearest point of presence, thereby decreasing latency and resulting in an optimal response time.
